INAUGURATION was the very first tournament of Season 1 and the first MiiPU tournament in general, airing on June 29th, 2019. The namesake "Inauguration" is due to the definition of the word being "The beginning or introduction of a system" and this was of course, the first tournament of the MiiPU.
This episode showed many viewers how exactly the MiiPU worked, with 16 submitted Miis to duel it out and to see who is the winner. This format is similar to the CPUCS, but obviously with Miis. For a first tourney, there were many exciting and nail-biting fights such as I want die vs. WeeaboJon, Matthew Vs. Gun Guy, and Lenny Vs. LENNY. The commentary was entertaining too, with gags such as ???'s real name. Ultimately, Matthew took home the first win in a close battle against Gun Guy, and proved dominance as he went on to defeat Waluigi in Thug Finals. Some notable fighters that made debuts in this tournament were Charles IV, Matthew, WeeaboJon, I want die, Gun Guy, Lenny, and LENNY. Fan favorites from this tourney went on to be Charles IV and I want die.
